It is a privilege and a pleasure to be able to share, recommend and laud the professional service and personal relationship that Margaret Stapleton provided for me through the entire process of selling my home in Evergreen, Colorado.
I met Margaret when I joined a leads group in Evergreen. She seemed to always have a busy real estate schedule and helped us understand the changes in the market with regular reports. When I decided to leave Evergreen (a very difficult decision, but my new love was here in Oregon) I called Margaret. She regularly brought me information about the market and it was obvious that things were changing dramatically.
Very few homes in the higher price ranges were selling in all of Evergreen during that period and even fewer in my neighborhood. Internet advertising was critical. She set up a website exclusively for my home and advertised on the internet generously. Agents regularly told Margaret that their clients found the home on the internet and demanded showings. When we received offers, she went through the contracts step by step helping me understand each detail of the process. She answered all of my questions to my complete satisfaction. She had Seller's Survival Kits that outlined the calendar of the contract, what happens at inspections, closings, and afterward, and was always on top of things, keeping me informed of the next step.
There were a couple of items that complicated the sale process. We had a bad hail storm that year and I had applied with my insurance company to replace my roof and other items, the septic system had some minor damage I had to repair, but of great benefit to me were the many other items that the buyer had requested which Margaret fought to omit from the Inspection Notice. At the end, she found ways for me to save time and effort. Particularly helpful, due to a tenuous relationship with the buyer’s agent, was her arranging for me to attend the closing privately, without the buyer or the agent, so I would have time to review the final documents comfortably. My new fiancé, Craig, who had watched and fretted for me from a distance, was very pleased that Margaret guarded my position.
I am pleased that we have kept our friendship alive after the sale. I happily recommend Margaret to my friends and acquaintances. Margaret was there for me in every sense through every step of the sale of my home. Her attention to detail allowed what could have been an otherwise tricky sale to flow smoothly, and personally, I was glad that she also recognized that once in a while I needed a little hand holding along the way.
